My name is Melinda Emanuelsson and I am a game designer & project manager assistant @ Filimundus in Stockholm.

I am a newly graduated game designer from PlaygroundSquad.

Before PlaygroundSquad I studied acting for several years, both at Calle Flygare theater school and Skara Skolscen. I learned a lot on working closely with different groups and working with creative productions and develop ideas to a finalized product. But standing on a stage infront of a big crowd wasn't for me. 

​

In between my studies I gained some experience in customer service. I started working at Systembolaget where I learned a huge amount of customer service and work ethics. Thanks to my skills in customer service I switched jobs and started to work as a sales associate at GameStop in Gothenburg. It didn't take long until I got the opportunity to work as a Store Manager, which I continued working with until all stores closed down in Sweden.

During my time as a Store Manager I learned a lot on how to organize and motivate people around me. I learned how to take and solve conflicts with both customers and colleges in a good way and how to compromise to make everyone happy, or at least satisficed. 

​

As a future game designer I hope to combine my experiences that I've gained throughout my work life and educations. I think my abilities would be best put at use in fields like

producer, project manager but also of course game design.
